A short hanging rail turned from beech, a hardwood dense enough to take a row of winter coats without bowing in the middle.
It measures 40.30 x 3.60 x 2.10 cm / 15.84 x 1.41 x 0.83 in and comes with flange seats that hold each end firmly against the wall or the inside of a cabinet, so the rod does not roll when a hanger is pushed along it.
The natural finish shows the grain, which looks considerably better than a painted tube in an open wardrobe or a small entry closet. It also works as a wall rail in a laundry room or a fitting corner, and as a plain dowel wherever a length of solid wood is what the job actually needs.
