A desk calendar made of solid pine that never needs replacing: two numbered blocks and three month blocks turn to show today, this year and every year after it.
The lettering is engraved rather than printed, the finish is smooth and natural, and a pen holder is built into the base, so the desk gains a tidy corner instead of another object to shuffle around. A separate birthday block sits in the row whenever there is something worth remembering.
It reads well on a work desk, a kitchen counter, a reception ledge or a bookshelf, and it makes a considered gift for a teacher or a colleague - decorative, useful, and one paper calendar fewer each January.
